Karen and I participated in the San Diego 4 Wheeler annual Turkey Trot weekend in the Julian/Banner area. Base camp for this years event was the Stagecoach Trail RV Resort. This was a nice camp grounds and they had 12 families camping out and another 6-8 that came out for the trail ride and potluck turkey dinner. We didn't get a chance go wheeling but they said there are some nice trails in the area. We did make a trip into Julian for lunch and apple pie, what a tourist town. The RV park a couple other off-road clubs staying in the park, so it seemed to be a popular area. As far as the potluck; we had more than enough food and they cooked 3 turkeys under trash cans and 1 deep fried.
