This was mentioned at the last meeting.
Good opportunity to help the local desert and promote the club. Wink
Post if you think you can make it.
Saturday, March 16 at 9 AM

Some spoke in the meeting about possibly meeting for breakfast before we meet at Calico.
Tentatively, shall those interested in breakfast meet at Peggy Sue's at 7:30?
Who's interested?

May be possible.
I have something else going on that day, but may be able to work around it.

I'm in.    I will bring the dump trailer for trash.  I think Al is going to get trash bags from Cal4wheel.   We need to get a head count and post it on the Friends of Calico Facebook page. They provide a bag lunch to all the participants.

Lots of interest generated.  Good job, VV4WC!
Maybe we can get a more accurate headcount at March's Tuesday meeting and then update our Facebook page AND post to Friends of Calico.

So, I know I won't be at Tuesday's meeting, and I don't have a Facebook account, but Chandra and I will DEFINITELY be there for this clean up day. Please include us in any sort of head count that you communicate to Friends of Calico. We look forward to seeing ALL of you out there. As a matter of fact, here's a little challenge. For the last two years we have volunteered for VV community clean up day with the Victor Valley Teachers Association and have had about 10-12 teachers and family turn out to do clean up in the desert inside the city limits. Let's do better than that; we SHOULD do better than that because this is an area that is important to us and that many of us use and enjoy regularly. We had 19 rigs show up for a random February run through the desert; not people, rigs. Let's do better than that; we SHOULD do better than that because for all of the days that we get to enjoy exploring and having fun in the desert we should be able to give this day back to taking care of the trails that we love. So there's the challenge; 20 RIGS! And we each bring at least one friend or family member; that's 40 PEOPLE. Let's show that we're not just a bunch of yahoos that like to tear through the desert and that we give a damn about keeping our trails clean and usable.
